What is the Family Circle

The Family Circle was born from the quiet reality that so many families go through their hardest seasons feeling alone, misunderstood, and overwhelmed. When relationships shift, homes change, and uncertainty takes over, it can feel isolating in ways that are difficult to explain to anyone who hasn’t lived it. This is why the Family Circle exists, not just as a space for support, but as a community that truly understands the emotional and practical complexity of family challenges.

Here, you are not met with judgment or noise, but with grounded, ethical, and accurate guidance that helps you make decisions with clarity instead of fear. It is a place where lived experience and professional insight meet, where you are reminded that you are not walking this road in isolation, and where healing and rebuilding are held with dignity, honesty, and hope.

We create dedicated support spaces for foster families and those involved in the foster care system, recognising the unique challenges and responsibilities they carry. Through both online and in-person communities, we offer guidance, connection, and practical resources to help navigate placements, transitions, and the emotional complexities involved. From expert-led sessions and webinars to ongoing support networks, our aim is to ensure that foster families feel equipped, supported, and never alone in the journey they undertake.

Professional support community

We create collaborative support networks for professionals working with families across different disciplines. Recognising that no single field can address the full complexity of family dynamics, these spaces encourage connection between legal practitioners, social workers, psychologists, and other role players.

Through both online and in-person platforms, professionals are able to share insight, access cross-disciplinary guidance, and support one another in the demanding work they do. The focus is on fostering a community where collaboration strengthens outcomes for families, while also providing a space for professionals to feel supported, resourced, and understood.

Expert guidance

A carefully curated network of trusted professionals is brought together to provide specialised support to families navigating complex challenges. Experts in fields such as child development, neurodivergence, mental health, and family dynamics are selected to ensure that the guidance offered is relevant, practical, and grounded in real-life experience.

Through webinars, in-person sessions, and accessible online platforms, families are given the opportunity to engage with expert knowledge in a way that is both understandable and affordable , whether navigating single parenthood, foster care, or other forms of family transition.

Fundraising

Through memberships, webinars, sponsorships, and dedicated fundraising events, resources are generated to support families who require access to professional services. While many professionals contribute their time and expertise generously, services such as legal assistance, therapy, and other specialised support often carry unavoidable costs.

A key focus is raising funds to make mediation services accessible to vulnerable communities, recognising the vital role mediation plays in resolving conflict in a constructive, cost-effective, and family-centred way.

Funds raised are used to subsidise or assist with these services for families in genuine need. Support is allocated through a considered selection process to ensure sustainability and meaningful impact, with a focus on assisting those who are actively part of the community and facing significant challenges. The aim is to provide responsible, structured support that enables families to access the help they need when it matters most.
