Surviving Divorce
A four-week journey from loss to rebuilding your life
Divorce is more than the end of a relationship. It can feel like the loss of a future you imagined, an identity you once knew, and the life you thought you were going to have.
Surviving Divorce is a four-week course hosted by Dr. Nicholas Neves, narrative therapist and relationship coach, and Alida Gerber, family law attorney and mediator.
Together, they will guide you through the emotional, relational and practical realities of life after divorce, helping you make sense of what you have experienced, reconnect with yourself, navigate relationships and begin creating a future that feels like your own.
Over four weeks, we will explore:
Week 1: Understanding Divorce as a Loss
Making sense of the grief, loss and emotional upheaval that can accompany divorce.
Week 2: Reclaiming Yourself
Rediscovering who you are beyond the relationship and reconnecting with your identity, values and sense of self.
Week 3: Relationships After Divorce
Exploring relationships, boundaries, trust and connection as you navigate life after divorce.
Week 4: Creating the Life You Love
Moving beyond survival and beginning to intentionally build a life that reflects who you are and what matters to you.
Divorce may change your story, but it does not have to define the rest of it.
Join us for four weeks of insight, reflection and practical guidance as we move from surviving divorce towards creating a life you love.
Motherhood is beautiful. It's messy. It's exhausting. It's rewarding. And sometimes... it's simply overwhelming.
Some days you feel like you're getting it right. Other days you wonder if you're getting anything right at all.
Society expects mothers to do it all, to be patient, present, successful, nurturing, calm, organized, and somehow still have something left for themselves.
The reality?
Most moms are doing the very best they can while carrying far more than anyone sees.
Join The Family Circle, under the guidance of family lawyer and mediator Alida Gerber, for an honest and uplifting conversation about the realities of motherhood.
Joining Alida is Tronel van Rooyen, an experienced social worker and play therapist who works daily with children and families navigating life's transitions.
Together, we'll explore:
-
Why your own emotional regulation is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child.
-
Practical ways to support your child's emotional wellbeing.
-
What children really need from their parents.
-
How to let go of the pressure to be the "perfect" mom.
-
Simple, practical tools to help you navigate the everyday challenges of motherhood with greater confidence and compassion.
This is not a parenting class that tells you everything you're doing wrong. It's a safe, supportive space where moms can learn, laugh, connect, and leave feeling encouraged.
Because the best moms aren't perfect moms, they're moms who keep showing up, learning, and loving their children the best they can.
Come as you are.
Leave feeling supported.
You don't have to do motherhood alone.
